The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa
The Laguna Resort & Spa will always be a favourite of mine as Aron and I were married here in 2009.
Guests have the option of staying in deluxe rooms, pool access rooms or private villas which are big enough to hold a wedding reception! There are two kinds of luxury villas that guests can check in to:
♡ The Hibiscus Villa
Sits close to the lobby but far enough away to ensure guests have complete privacy. The Villa has a private pool, over water bale and a separate bedroom and living room. As a villa guest, you will also receive on-call butler service, a minibar for free and we will be given delicious little biscuit treats to eat in our room daily. We held our wedding reception in this Villa and it was perfect!
♡ One or Two Bedroom Villas
Located towards the front of the hotel the Villas offer guests private check-in, a private pool, a minibar for free and the right to sit back, relax and enjoy the on-call butler service.
The Laguna Resort and Spa’s sister hotel, The Westin, is next door and guests can utilise the facilities and charge all costs back to their room at the Laguna. The Bali Collection shopping precinct is also within walking distance to the Laguna.

The Samaya
If you are the kind of traveller who likes to be close enough to the action but far enough away where you can escape the hustle and bustle of Seminyak’s vibrant shopping culture then The Samaya may be the perfect fit!
Guests have the option to stay in three different kinds of villas, The Royal Courtyard Villas, the Pool Villas, or the Royal Pavillion Villas.
♡ The One-bedroom Royal Courtyard Villas
Located across the road from the main complex guests are transferred to and from their villa by golf buggies. The villas are enormous (300sqm) and have a huge 11-meter pool (courtyard villas are also available with 2 or 3 bedrooms)
♡ The One Bedroom Pool Villas
Located within the main complex (beachside) and are slightly smaller than the Royal Courtyard Villa. The Villa is 220sqm with a 10-meter pool
♡ The One-bedroom Royal Pavilion Villas
Located within the main complex (beachside)the villas are a whopping 310sqm and have an 11-meter pool
All of the villas come with a dedicated butler, private car service around Seminyak and daily breakfast and afternoon tea which you can enjoy in the Breeze Restaurant or in your villa – we ordered in most days!
The Samaya is located right on Seminyak’s beachfront which makes it the perfect place to watch the sunset while sipping a cocktail.

Good to Know
♡ New hotels generally open as a “soft launch” allowing guests to check in at a reduced rate while they prepare for the grand opening. You will find that the majority of the resort is operational but you are best to check with the resort what still needs to be completed before booking
♡ Booking holidays in the low or shoulder season can dramatically reduce the cost of accommodation. Bali’s dry season is the busiest time (high season) to visit and runs between April – September, so try to book outside of this time if you want to keep prices low
♡ Most properties offer day passes which allow you to check in as an honorary guest for the day and enjoy the resort facilities
♡ All hotels offer special rates or promotional offers so sign up to receive their newsletter. This way you will be the first to know of any great offers
♡ If you are looking to minimise costs but want to stay in the fancy room, then consider booking a lower room category for the majority of your stay and booking the fancy room for a couple of nights at the end of your stay
