Have you ever seen pictures of a place an then you get there to find that the drinks, food or venue look nothing like it? Well, this is certainly not the case for The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney, Australia.
The Grounds of Alexandria is seriously AMAZING! From the minute you walk through the entrance you will have sensory overload from the smells of food cooking, the look of the unbelievable styling (and I mean unbelievable you should see what they do at Christmas and Easter) and the sounds of chickens clucking, little Harry Trotter oinking and people genuinely enjoying themselves.
Restaurants
The Grounds at Alexandria has four main venues for eating and caters for anyone and everyone including:
The Cafè – is the perfect spot to enjoy a freshly roasted coffee with breakfast or lunch.
The Potting Shed – serves fresh local produce and is where you can sit and enjoy a beer or wine amongst terracotta pots and hanging plants. You may even spot a bird or two casually sitting on a perch next to your table.
The Garden – is a place where you can sit and relax with grapevines, fountains and greenery while ordering pizzas, burgers, craft sodas and smoothies.
The Bakery and Patisserie – is an Artisan Bakery & Patisserie where you can take home a loaf of freshly baked bread, granola, house-roasted coffee, nougat and the most incredible cakes you have ever seen.
Play
Both kids and adults will enjoy the animal farm which houses the resident Harry Trotter and many fluffy-haired chickens. There is also a florist, markets, stalls, and carts that sell cakes, ice blocks and my personal favourite Nutella doughnuts!
