I know, I know this is meant to be a blog about travel and delicious food adventures, but after being at home for so many weeks doing that isolation thing I just have to tell you about these binge-worthy TV classics that I have been watching and even if you have already seen them you just HAVE to watch them again!
Now, I have to say not only have I hysterically laughed out loud at these shows but I just can’t stop watching them. For some reason, I’m finding them funnier the second time around and I think I have even started to talk like Penny and Alex from Happy Endings – now how Am-ahz-ing is that – if you don’t know what I’m talking about you need to watch the show!
Happy Endings
This has to be one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. Although the storyline is simple it’s just such a funny show. Take six friends (Alex, Dave, Jane, Brad, Penny & Max) who have grown up together, live in Chicago and are dealing with what I would say are totally crazy everyday life issues (I’m sure we can all relate to that).
The brilliant thing about this show is that not only will you be able to relate to the characters or know someone who reminds you of them (I so know a Penny) but you would also swear that all six cast members have worked together for a baJillian years – oh Alex you’d be proud of me….bajilian!
On top of all that this show will teach you a huge amount of weirdly funny sayings that you will start using by the end of episode one! Happy Endings originally aired all the way back in 2011 and made three seasons that you will want to keep watching again and again and again! I secretly wish that this show was real so I could be friend number seven!
Favourite Episode:
Season 2, Episode 16 “Cocktails & Dreams” – actually every episode is my favourite!
Meet the Happy Endings cast:
Brad Williams played by Damon Wayans Jr.
Jane Kerkovich-Williams played by Eliza Coupe
Alex Kerkovich (Jane’s sister) played by Elisha Cuthbert
Dave Rose (Alex’s ex fiance) played by Zachary Knighton
Max Blum played by Adam Pally
Penny Hartz played by Casey Wilson

Friends
Now, this little beauty popped up on my screen not that long ago and when it first came on I thought oh not Friends again. But after watching a couple of episodes, I’m hooked and have been watching it every night since.
Just in case you have never seen Friends or you have simply forgotten all about it then all you need to know is that it’s another hilariously funny comedy that is all about how six crazy single friends that live in Manhatten and all have completely different personalities somehow deal with almost every life issue that you could ever think of.
I remember watching Friends when it first started in 1994 and totally loved Joey and Rachel, now, of course, I still love them but am finding Phoebe and Ross so hilarious!
Favourite Episode:
Season 5, Episode 14 “The One Where Everybody Finds Out”
Meet the Friends cast:
Joey Tribbiani played by Matt LeBlanc
Ross Gellar played David Schwimmer
Monica Gellar (Ross’ sister) played by Courteney Cox
Rachel Green played by Jennifer Aniston
Chandler Bing played by Matthew Perry
Phoebe Buffay played by Lisa Kudrow

Kath & Kim
A total Australian classic, this little comedy has been and will be one of my favourite shows since it first aired in 2002. This show is guaranteed to crack you up laughing as Kath Day a beyond happy divorcee has to deal with her lazy obnoxious daughter Kim Craig.
The three other main characters are Kel Knight who is not only a purveyor of fine meats but also carries a man bag and *spoiler alert* marries Kath to turn Day into Knight (Kath Day-Knight ha-ha). Sharon Strzelecki who is Kim’s best friend and loves footy franks, Shane Warne and netball and Brett Craig who is otherwise known as Kim’s husband Bretty.
This is one hilarious comedy that showcases outdated fashion and is full of uncomfortably silly dancing and sayings – which I love…look at moi Kimmi look at moi
Favourite Episode:
Season 1, Episode 8 – “The Wedding” (Kath and Kel’s Wedding)
Season 2, Episode 4 – “Obsession” (horizontal folk dance)
Season 3, Episode 2 – “The Mango Espadrille” (they go to the races)
Meet the Kath & Kim cast :
Kath Day played by Jane Turner
Kim Craig played Gina Riley
Sharon Strzelecki played by Magda Szubanski
Kel Knight played by Glenn Robbins
Brett Craig played by Peter Rowsthorn.

Seinfeld
Can you believe Seinfeld first aired back on our screens in 1989 and is still an absolute classic to watch to this day! They say that the writers wrote the episodes based on their own real-life experiences… this totally explains why we all relate to this show so well!
Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer are household names and are the craziest friends anyone could ask for. There are just so many funny lines and sayings in every episode of Seinfeld that they have become part of our everyday life, I mean who hasn’t said “no soup for you, these pretzels are making me thirsty, she has man hands, it’s the manzier” and my personal favourite “SERENITY NOW”.
Favourite Episode:
Season 7, Episode 6 – “The Soup Nazi”
Season 8, Episode 15 – “The Susie” (Georges answering machine song)
Season 8, Episode 18 – “The Nap” (who doesn’t want a bed built under their desk right!)
Season 9, Episode 10 – “The Strike” (known as Festivus)
Meet the Seinfeld cast:
Jerry Seinfeld played by Jerry Seinfeld
George Costanza played by Jason Alexander
Elaine Benes played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Cosmo Kramer played by Micheal Richards
